WITH YOUR

HELP, WE WANT

TO SHOW THE UNIQUENESS

OF JAZZ.

To take part in our mission just grab a pen of any colour and listen to your favorite song. Close your eyes and get lost in the music.

Breath it in. Feel every little part, every instrument, every tone of it. How does it build up? What motion do you feel? Is it smooth or funky, straight or wavy?

Slowly let your hand dance to the rythm and express your emotions all over these posters right here. If you want you can add the name and artist of the title you listened to after. Show the world what jazz means to you.

(This meditation inspired exercise is guided by the introduction text you can read above and on each poster.)

Subject of the concept is to show the diversity of jazz. Therefore the design itself is held simple, to leave as much room as possible for the participants to join and collectively fill the paper with their own interpretation of jazz. Every poster contains all necessary information about the project and the Montreux Jazz Festival itself, so they can exist independently and the campaign can be used variously on different platforms.

The Year 2020 has shown us how important it is to make campaigns accessible to everyone and independent of spatial circumstances. That’s why this campaign for people to join from everywhere they want. One can join on posters hanging in the streets, or simply download the document. People can share their love for jazz music on social media by posting their artworks and by that they also spread the word of the Montreux Jazz Festival. The concept can be expanded with musicians performing at the festival participating and creating their own posters wich can be auctioned to fans for a good cause as donating to musical institutions and to foster a new generation of jazz musicians.

To show what jazz means to you,

all you need is a printer, a pen,

& some love for music.
